About J. L. Long

J. L. Long Middle School is a proud Dallas ISD campus committed to providing students with a rigorous, engaging, and supportive learning environment. As an International Baccalaureate World School, J. L. Long offers the Middle Years Programme to every student in every classroom.

Our school focuses on developing knowledgeable, caring, and globally minded students who are prepared to think critically, communicate effectively, and make a positive difference in their community. Through inquiry-based learning, collaboration, leadership opportunities, fine arts, athletics, and extracurricular programs, students are encouraged to discover their strengths and grow academically and personally.

J. L. Long Middle School proudly serves a a feeder school to Woodrow Wilson High School, allowing students to continue along the IB pathway. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to building strong relationships with students and families while creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school community.
